CVaaS began with a simple but pressing need. Early-career professionals often struggle to find personalised career guidance, university career centres are overstretched, and most online CV tools rely on cookie-cutter templates that don’t reflect a person’s actual potential.
The founder, Raunak Hede, started CVaaS as a peer-to-peer initiative, helping fellow students refine their CVs and cover letters. The strong feedback made something clear: students and graduates needed more than occasional advice. They needed an affordable, scalable service that feels like having a personal career consultant.
In December 2023, CVaaS evolved from a manual one-to-one service into an AI-powered platform built on proprietary training datasets and carefully designed workflows. The aim was simple: create CVs and cover letters that feel personal rather than generic.
Today, CVaaS remains fully independent and bootstrapped. More than twenty users have already relied on it, with paid monthly subscribers benefiting from a flat £30/month model that includes unlimited documents. Early users have secured interviews across engineering, tech and business roles.
Looking ahead, CVaaS is building deeper personalisation that grows with each user’s academic and professional journey, more flexible billing options, expanded support for statements of purpose and scholarship essays, and a scalable, privacy-focused infrastructure designed for long-term reliability.
